Oba Femi Floored By Brock Lesnar On WWE Raw, Hit With Official Rematch In Italy

Fast-rising Nigerian grappler, Isaac Odugbesan (aka Oba Femi) was involved in one of the major talking points at World Wrestling Federation (WWE) Raw on Monday night, as Brock Lesnar returned to challenge him for a rematch.

Sports247 reports that Lesnar stormed the arena unannounced and outside the night’s scheduled bouts, then proceeded to floor Oba Femi inside the ring, after which he threw a mouthy challenge at him for a rematch in Italy.

Lesnar unexpectedly returned during the Monday Night broadcast in Greensboro, where he executed a physical assault on Oba Femi to establish a new rivalry, which concluded with the official announcement of a rematch between them at the next WWE Clash in Italy.

The incident occurred as Femi entered the ring for his Open Challenge segment, only for him to be ambushed from behind by Lesnar, while the arena lights were dimmed, and the former champ then executed four consecutive F-5 maneuvers on the Nigerian wrestler.

The attack was massive enough to incapacitate Femi, in what was Lesnar’s first appearance since losing to the Nigerian star at WrestleMania 42 last month, following which he fueled widespread retirement speculation by leaving his boots and gloves inside the ring.

A report by Marissa Myers of TWSN – under the headline ‘Brock Lesnar Is Coming For Revenge Against Oba Femi At Clash In Italy’ – noted, “WWE is going right back to one of its biggest powerhouse matchups, and honestly, it is the right move.

“Paul Heyman handed Adam Pearce a signed contract for Brock Lesnar’s rematch against Oba Femi at Clash in Italy after Lesnar had attacked Femi before his open challenge match on WWE RAW.

“This immediately gives the event a true big-fight attraction. This is the type of match that sells itself because of who is involved, what happened the first time, and what was thought to be Lesnar’s retirement after the match at WrestleMania 42.

“For years, Lesnar has been WWE’s measuring stick for physical dominance. Lesnar is the ultimate test. Femi already passed that test once, but beating Lesnar one time is not the same as surviving him twice.”
