A youthful football coach named Nwokeji Victor Ezuchukwu is hunting for talented kids in the nooks and crannies of Orlu in Imo State, Sports247 reports.
The grassroots football promoter, who kids in the serene town fondly call ‘Coach Eupraim,’ is the founder and technical director of Rockets FC of Ihioma, which he established 12 years ago.
The youthful tactician has made it a point of duty to turn up every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday to handle kids aged 7 to 17 years at Ihioma Central School, as he seeks to unearth stars of tomorrow.
Nwokeji stated in a chat with Sports247, “I am very happy with what I am doing here with these young players. I’ve been doing it for 12 years, and I’m not tired of doing what I’m doing.
“I am happy seeing Chibueze Igboanyaka and Ugochukwu Ugbala excel as my captains. I am also happy with what I am seeing in Okeke Chidalu Victor, who I regard as my most promising player.
“They all did well last year in Bet9ja Cup and I am sure they will do better when we play in Orlu United Coaches Competition that’s coming up soon.”
He concluded with an appeal for financial and material support from well placed personalities of Orlu, who he believes can make lucrative investments with the future potentials available in his club.
