NWFL20/21: We will make Super 4 – Adunola

The assistant coach of Osun babes, Adunola Olayinka has promised football lovers in Osun State that the state’s football club will make them proud in the coming NWFL season.

Yesterday, Osun Babes defeated Lagos rivals, FC Robo by a lone goal courtesy of a 27th minute strike from Yemisi Samuel.

Adunola who took charge of the team in the absence of the chief coach said the team is ready for action.

“This season, we expect nothing else than winning. We giving our best for the state to make the top 4, the super four and a spot for the Women’s CAF Champions league.”

Giving her thoughts on the slim victory at the Osogbo Township stadium, Coach Adunola described it as a sweet revenge.

“They have lots of players with national team experience. We were so determined to get this win and at the end of the day we overpowered them”.

Osun babes remained in the NWFL via relegation play-offs and are hoping for a better outing in the coming season set to kick start in December.

Preparation continues for both team ahead of the new season as they participate in the Flying officers pre-season tournament in Abuja in the coming days.
