Rivers Angels delivered a commanding performance in Makwada, securing a 3–0 victory over Adamawa Queens in the NWFL Premiership, with Abasiofon Uwah netting a superb hat-trick to headline the encounter.
After a goalless first half, the breakthrough arrived in the 56th minute, when Uwah expertly converted a Polinus Ifeoma free-kick, giving the visitors a deserved lead.

The forward doubled her tally just seven minutes later, once again capitalising on a set-piece, this time meeting Jumia Adebayo’s free-kick to make it 2–0.
Uwah completed her hat-trick in style in the 81st minute, rising highest to finish from a Polinus Ifeoma corner, capping a dominant second-half display by the Jewels of Rivers.
Rivers Angels controlled large spells of the contest, showing composure, discipline and attacking efficiency, particularly from dead-ball situations. Adamawa Queens struggled to contain the visitors’ threat after the interval and were unable to mount a meaningful response as Rivers Angels tightened their grip on the match.
