NWFL SUPER-6: Nawarawa Amazons’ Coach Christopher Danjuma Declares – We’re Ready To Shout Halleluyah

Nasarawa Amazons of Lafia coach, Christopher Danjuma says he and his players are just one match away from shouting ‘Halleluyah,’ as he believes they will defeat Edo Queens of Benin City in Saturday’s last game of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super-6 in Ikenne, Ogun State.

Sports247 reports that, though Danjuma’s side could not defeat Remo Ladies of Ikenne in their penultimate game of the Super-6 on Thursday, the vastly experienced gaffer insists they will dump the holders on Saturday.

Danjuma, who is also the substantive coach of Nigeria’s under-20 women’s national team, Falconets, gave thanks to God for having brought The Amazons this far.

Danjuma declared, “I give glory to God. I thank God for strength, I thank God for focus, and I thank God for mentality. Playing Remo on their home ground, on their own turf, with all their support, is a big mentality for my players. We knew it was going to be a tough game, and we are glad we got a point.”

Danjuma then spoke about the strategies he applied for the Super-6 target and emphasised the need to take it one step at a time, then explode as they reach a peak in the grand finale.

He continued: “We took it one game at a time, and we are here to compete. Before now, we’ve always come here to test our teams, but now, for the first time, we are here to compete.

“Now, it’s just one more step; after which we can shout Halleluyah! Whatever energy we need, we’ll just take the last lap and, to the glory of God, we will not come this far and face a setback.”

He concluded by hinting at the tactics he will employ differently from their previous four matches in the ongoing play-off contest holding at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

Christopher refused to give details of his tactics for Saturday’s final, saying it’s just a matter of installing a new winning mentality into his players.

“Every team gets stronger every day. So, what we are going to do is just to change our mentality.

“I won’t reveal my tactics, but we know it won’t be an easy game. There’s no other 90 minutes in 2025 that will define the champion than this one against Edo Queens,” Danjuma acknowledged.
