NWFL: Sunshine Queens Assistant Captain Aganmuyi Kehinde Denounces Referee Bias in Match Against FC Robo

Aganmuyi Kehinde Expresses Displeasure After 3-2 Loss to FC Robo Queens

Assistant Captain of Sunshine Queens, Aganmuyi Kehinde expressed strong dissatisfaction with the match outcome, attributing it to referee bias following Sunshine Queens’ 3-2 loss to FC Robo Queens on Match Day 2 at the Onikan Stadium.

Kehinde began by stating, “We had a very nice game but it was not the result we wanted. The referee was biased, and this should not happen in a Nigerian league. We were meant to enjoy the game, but the referee just wasted our efforts. We are not happy with the result.” She told Sports247 in a post-match interview.

Expressing disappointment in the altered game plan, she revealed, “Our expectations were to pick the maximum 3 points, and along the line, the game plan changed, so we were going to settle for a draw, and then the referee scattered our plans, we have no choice but to leave it for God.”

Assessing their opponents, Kehinde acknowledged their effort but stated, “They were not really what we expected. We expected a tougher match than this, but they did give their best. We are expecting them in Akure to teach them football.”

Sharing her perspective on the referee’s decisions, Kehinde boldly stated, “They don’t deserve the win because it was given to them by the referee.

Everybody could see that they were allowed to win. The third goal was not even close to the line, yet the referee signalled a goal.

Even with the clear penalty we had, the ref said it was a throw-in. It’s so sad.”

Looking ahead, Kehinde assured fans, saying, “Moving forward, we expect our fans home and abroad to expect more from us because this is not the end.

We will go back home, pick one or two mistakes that we did and improve on it, and we know that our home game would be much better than this, and we promise to get our 3 points.”
