“To be very candid, this is not what I expected, but football is unpredictable. We came with the mindset of winning and we got a draw.

In terms of play, I am not satisfied with what the girls are giving me,” Okala remarked, highlighting the need for caution in addressing the players to avoid discouragement.

The Technical Adviser emphasized the missed goal-scoring chances, stating, “There were many goal-scoring chances that we could not convert.

This is what we do basically every day in all of our training sessions. The only antidote to it is to go back to the drawing board and prepare very well for our away games.”He said.

When questioned about the impact of playing on unfamiliar terrain, Okala partially attributed the draw to it but emphasized that footballers should be able to dominate any terrain.

He acknowledged Dannaz Ladies’ performance, noting that they secured a draw on unfamiliar ground, suggesting that it could be a factor but not the primary reason.

Regarding the missed penalty opportunity, Okala revealed that the player in question is one of their best penalty takers, and losing the chance was unfortunate.

He acknowledged that such occurrences happen even to the best players globally and emphasized the importance of extracting positives from the situation to build on for future matches.

As Confluence Queens FC evaluate their performance, Okala remains focused on improvement, strategic planning, and turning challenges into opportunities for growth in the upcoming games.
