NWFL: “All Hope Is Not Lost Yet,” says Edo Queens Captain Glory Ogbonna After Back to Back Loses in the NWFL Super Six Playoff

Edo Queens have suffered yet another loss in the Nigeria Women’s Football League Super Six Playoff which has put the team in a difficult situation to qualify.

Edo Queens lost to Delta Queens in game one and the Sunshine Queens in-game two with both games ending 2-1 and captain of the side and Super Falcons international Glory Ogbonna has not ruled out her team’s chances of finishing top.

“It’s a bit disappointing for us to lose two games in a row but then that doesn’t really mean that we’re out of the competition. We have three more games to go which I strongly believe that if we win we’re still contesting,” Glory said.

“All hope is not lost yet and we’ll never say it’s over until it is over. We will fight again in the next game and we’re determined that we’ll come out with something good in this competition. We’ll play our best in the next game knowing that we’re still fighting for something and so I believe it’s not yet over,” she concluded.
