NWFL 2022/23 : We Intend To Stay “Unbeaten”

With Elections delays over, the stage is now set for the return of battles between clubs for who makes it to the Super six in the prestigious Nigeria women Football League NWFL.

As the battle resumes, the Stephen Keshi Township Stadium, Asaba is scheduled to host one of the match day 10 encounters featuring Delta Queens FC and Heartland Queens of Owerri, tomorrow Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

Speaking to the team’s Media Ahead of the home clash against heartland of Owerri, The head Coach of Group A table toppers Delta Queens FC, Coach Tosan Blankson says the Pearls are holding on strongly to the philosophy of “Every game is a final” adding that they have a target to remain Unbeaten in the Nigerian Women Football League, NPFL for the season .

“We always believe in keeping it simple and giving our best in every game, hence the strong commitment to every game like a final”

“We are not playing under pressure but we also will not take our opponent for granted, we know they are like wounded lion trying to make it to the super six at the detriment of another very big side so they will be all out for result taking every game very seriously too”

” So as usual it is a battle and we never relax until it is truly over”

With just about Five Matches to the end of the Nigeria women Football League NWFL across the country, leaders of Group A in the NWFL abridged league for 2022/23 season Delta Queens FC are yet to loose a game as they have pulled five wins and two draws to be on top with 17points and they hope to continue that run against all opponents in the remaining games of the season.
