NWFL 2022/23 : ‘Delta Queens Deserves Commendable Recognition’, Tosan Blankson Stakes Claim For His Unbeaten Lady Warriors

Head coach of high flying Delta Queens, Tosan Blankson has staked a claim for his unbeaten lady warriors who are currently on a fine run of records and results that hasn’t been achieved in a long while in women’s football claiming that they deserve all the applause.

Delta Queens over the years have been silently setting records which is evidently seen in thier 2022/2023 NWFL campaign as they still remain the only side with a perfect record under the tactical guidance of Tosan who believes that female football has so much to offer as thier male counterparts, Sports247.ng writes.

In his words, ‘Delta Queens deserves commendation’ isn’t just a mere clout chasing phrase but a due and rightful claim which is borne out of passion for his team who has been relentless in thier pursuit.

It will be notable to know that since after last year Super Six, they have lost only one match in every competition in the country till date.

Be it the State Aiteo cup, National Aiteo cup, Besty Obaseki cup, Sheroes Cup which is like a pre-season preparation in Abuja and in the current 2022/23 NWFL campaign.

The team has produced standout performers with the duo of Omokwu Mercy, Chinaza Agoh in the NWFl goalscoring top three goal premiership chart.

Taiwo Afolabi was a mainstay influential player in Bankole Olowookere’s Flamingos FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup third Placed team in India at the heart of the midfield.

“Delta Queens deserves commendation because looking at what the team has achieved since last year has been so tremendous, they have consistently maintained the standard while also producing results for all to see,” Blankson stated.

“The state commissioner of sports under Chief Tonobok Okowa has been so supportive in terms of welfare and all you can think off in order to help the team and we applaud thier efforts.”

“The Super Six is our target and we are not going to be carried away. That’s our ambition and the team knows that fully well regardless of the results we have been seeing since the campaign began.”

“I specially salute this girl’s, they are incredible, they give thier best in every games and will continue to do so when called upon.”

They currently sit top of Group A with 20 points having played eight games, won six and drawn just two.
