During her visit, she extended her support to the school community by offering scholarships to ten deserving students.

Ogundele’s remarkable performance at the NUGA games led the Unilag Angels to victory as the best female football team in Nigerian universities. Her impressive goal-scoring abilities, including stunning free kicks, earned her the title of the competition’s top scorer with 10 goals and the coveted Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.

To inspire and empower young athletes, Ogundele organized a seminar on the importance of combining education and sports for the students. A friendly match was also arranged between her grassroots club, the Alimosho Sports Club, and the school team, creating a memorable experience for all involved.

During the seminar, Ogundele emphasized the significance of determination, discipline, and responsible behavior for student-athletes. She encouraged the students to showcase their talents while maintaining a strong commitment to their academic pursuits.
“I want you to understand that playing football does not make you any less responsible. With determination and discipline, you can demonstrate to society that you have so much to offer,” Ogundele stated, sharing her vision to help young athletes build self-esteem and confidence in pursuing their dreams.

As part of her initiative, Ogundele generously offered scholarships to ten students from Iganmode Grammar School. This initiative will cover the full session fees for five junior secondary school students and five senior secondary school students, providing them with an opportunity to excel academically.

Teslim Sanni-Anibire, the co-founder of Alimosho Football Club, also addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of maintaining focus on academics while nurturing their football aspirations. He highlighted the values of teamwork, integrity, and courage that sports instill in individuals.

“There is nothing quite like sports to teach the values of teamwork. Sports foster integrity and courage, enabling individuals to confront their fears,” Sanni-Anibire shared, underscoring the transformative power of sports.

Ogundele’s impressive performance in female football in Nigeria has made her a rising star in the sport. Her contributions to the Unilag Angels’ victory in the national championship, along with her extraordinary goal-scoring abilities and recognition as the MVP, have solidified her reputation as a talented and dedicated athlete.

Through her scholarships and mentorship, Ogundele’s impact extends beyond her personal achievements, demonstrating her commitment to nurturing the potential of young athletes and empowering them to excel both on and off the field.
