Nigeria Rugby Football Federation, NRFF has released fixtures for National Women’s Rugby Sevens Tournament scheduled to start in Asaba, Delta state today
In the fixtures released by the Federation, Pool A has Gosar RFC, Nigeria Police RFC, Anambra Angels RFC and Benue Buffalos RFC
Pool B is made up of Edo RFC, Team Delta B, Abia Buffalos RFC and Imo Pyramid RFC
Pool C consists of Delta RFC, Eco II RFC, Eastern Springbok RFC and Yankari RFC
The first match of the day will see Nigeria Police Rugby Football Club taking on Anambra Angels Rugby Football Club while Gosar FC tackle Benue buffalos in the second match.
Delta RFC “B” will trade tackles with Abia RFC in the third match while Edo State RFC and Imo Pyramid RFC will slug it out in the fourth match of the day .
Eco II RFC will host Eastern Springbok RFC as Delta RFC “A” tackle Yankari RFC in the first round matches .
As part of the opportunity to see the best of Nigeria women rugby players, the tournament will also serve as good ground to pick players for national female team that will later go on training tours of West Africa countries.
