NRA HOLDS ELECTIVE DELEGATES CONFERENCE TO ELECT NEW OFFICIALS

Ijebu Ode in Ogun State is expected to come alive this weekend as the Nigeria Referees Association, NRA, holds Elective Delegates Conference to usher in new members of the National Executive to steer the ship of the association for the next four years.

 

The Rolak Hotel and Suites will play host to the referees in the event that will hold from February 1-3, 2019.

According to program of events released by the National Secretariat and signed by the Secretary General of the NRA, Prince Moruff Oluwa, screening of all aspirants starts at 09.00am on Friday 1st, 2019 while Manifesto Night holds same day at 6pm.

Other highlights of the gathering include a football match between the Ogun State Referees Council and Lagos State council on Saturday morning, National Exco and Full Exco Meetings preceding the elections.

It would be recalled that the outgoing National Exco was elected in February, 2015. To herald the National elections, elections had been held at the Society and Council levels late last year to prepare the ground for the grand finale of the transition program of the referees’ body.

About 16 elective offices comprising President, Deputy President, Vice President 1, Vice President 2, Secretary General, Deputy Secretary General and Assistant Secretary General stand to be contested. Other offices up for grabs are the National Treasurer, National Financial Secretary, Deputy National Financial Secretary, National Training / Referees Development Officer, Deputy National Training/Devt Officer , National Publicity Secretary and the National Welfare Officer.

The NRA wishes the aspirants, NFF Representatives, Delegates from the 36 states plus FCT council, elders including past presidents and Secretary Generals and invited guests journey mercy and best of luck.
