Davidson Owumi, the Chief Operating Officer, extended an official notice to all participating clubs, underscoring that the chosen date has been strategically set to ensure the seamless organization of the upcoming season’s activities.

The AGM, a crucial platform for collaboration and strategic planning, is a significant milestone in preparing for the upcoming 2023/24 season.

Concurrently, the Draw Event for the forthcoming season will also take place on the same day in Abuja, marking the ceremonial commencement of the league’s next chapter.

With players’ registration already in progress, the clubs were duly reminded to capitalize on the available window to finalize their squad documentation before the season kickoff.

The call to complete this process underscores the league’s commitment to smooth operations and the pursuit of excellence in the upcoming season.

This AGM holds special significance as it marks the first interaction between the NPFL clubs and the new NPL Board, led by Hon Gbenga Elegbeleye.

Following their recent inauguration, this AGM presents an opportunity for mutual collaboration and strategic alignment among stakeholders.

Under the leadership of Hon Gbenga Elegbeleye, the NPL Board has wasted no time in initiating actions aimed at enhancing the league’s profile and standards.

Last week, a Technical Committee was established to oversee the selection of the NPFL Team of the Month and an All-star team, slated for a tour of Spain in partnership with a prominent La Liga club.

This initiative not only elevates the league’s visibility but also contributes to the broader football development goals of Nigeria.

Elegbeleye’s vision for the league extends beyond its borders, as he envisions the All-star team potentially serving as a foundation for the next CHAN Eagles side.

As the AGM approaches, anticipation is high for a productive gathering that will lay the groundwork for an exciting and successful 2023/24 NPFL season.
