Wikki Tourists continue its unbeaten run in the 2025/26 NPFL, securing a massive 1-0 victory over Abia Warriors and move up to 2nd place on the log.
MATCHDAY1- Versus PLATEAU UNITED
Wikki Tourists FC began their 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) campaign with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Plateau United in Bauchi, marking a triumphant return to the top tier after gaining promotion back to the NPFL.

The only goal of the match came in the 41st minute, when new signing Louis Dadong coolly slotted home a penalty,his first official goal for the club. That strike proved to be all the Bauchi-based side needed to secure the 3 points on home soil.
In his post-match interview, Head Coach Abdu Maikaba expressed gratitude to God for the victory and praised his players’ performance:
MATCHDAY2 – Versus KANO PILARS
Wikki Tourists FC showed grit, composure, and tactical discipline as they held Kano Pillars to a 1-1 draw on a pulsating afternoon in Kano on Match Day 2 of the 2025/26 NPFL season.
With the Sani Abacha Stadium packed to capacity and the famous Kano crowd in full voice, the hosts were tipped to dominate,however, it was the visitors from Bauchi who opened scores, shocking the home fans with an early goal and forcing Pillars into a fightback.

Their early intent paid off when Ahmed Abubakar Lamido found the back of the net in the 12th minute from an assist by Louis Dadong, latching onto a low cross inside the box and finishing calmly past the Pillars’ goalkeeper.
Their persistence paid off in first-half stoppage time (45+2′), when a defensive mix-up allowed the home side to equalise through a scrappy but vital goal just before the break.
Wikki remained disciplined and absorbed pressure well, relying on quick transitions and counter-attacks with Klingshak Longbak in full control of the midfield.

“We knew coming to Kano would be a test of our character,I’m proud of the boys for staying organized and showing resilience,we scored early, and though we couldn’t hold the lead until the break, the point away from home was very valuable,Maikaba emphasized.
MATCHDAY3 – Versus ABIA WARRIORS
It took just 13 minutes for Jonathan Mairiga to make his presence felt after coming off the bench in the second half.
The lively forward scored the decisive goal in the 78th minute from an assist by Saifullahi calmly finishing to send the Bauchi faithful into celebration.
In a post match interview, Coach Abdu Maikaba confessed it was a hard game for his side.

“This was a big test for us. Abia Warriors are a continental team with experience and structure. I didn’t expect it to be easy, but my boys were disciplined and showed real character. They earned this win” the Wikki Tourists gaffer reiterate.
