NPFL: We’II return to winning ways – Coach Okagbue

The Chief Coach of Ifeanyi Ubah football club, Uche Okagbue is upbeat about the chances of his team returning to winning ways after the week six 1-2 home loss to Abia Warriors in the NPFL.

In a chat with sports247.ng the former Remo Stars head coach remarked that it was unfortunate to lose at home after his team had gained valuable points on the road in recent matches.

” In football you either win, lose or draw. And remember we won in Kaduna and drew in Jos and Omoku. That’s football for you,” he noted.
” Let me also remind you that this is entirely a new team and it’s a work in progress. Before the new season, over 30 players including goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and attackers left the team.

“And we had to start afresh by recruiting young players from the amateur ranks and passing our ideas and philosophy to them. And I believe we shall achieve our goals,” he added.

Okagbue went on to express confidence in the abilities of his boys to bounce back to winning ways by beating Gombe United tomorrow to claim the maximum points.

” I believe in the abilities of my boys to bounce back to winning ways and by the special grace of God, we shall beat Gombe United tomorrow,” he enthused confidently.
