The best goalkeeper, MVP and highest goal scorer award of the just concluded NPFL La Liga U15 promises went to players of Katsina United and Remo Stars.
Katsina United who were the defending champions of the tournament before last night’s final lost out to Shooting Stars in the semifinal before defeating Nothern rivals Kano Pillars in the third-place match.
The match which ended 2-2 in regulation time went straight into penalties with Katsina United winning the kick out 5-4 after goalkeeper Abubarka Anas saved the fourth kick of the opponent after previously getting a hand to two but couldn’t keep them out as the goalkeeper received the best goalkeeper award.
Remo Stars forward Ariehi Kparabo finished as the tournament’s top scorer with five goals to win the highest goal scorer award while teammate Ohamesi Chimezie picked up the most valuable player award.
