Remo Stars claimed their first home victory of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season with a 1-0 win over Warri Wolves at the M.K.O. Sports Complex, Abeokuta Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Remo Stars were forced to play their home games in Abeokuta due to the renovation of their home turf, Remo Sports Complex, Ikenne.

They were rewarded in the 76th minute when Samson Olasupo ran through a pocket pass by Haruna Hadi to hand the first lead and the lone goal that earned the defending champions maximum points.
Haruna Hadi got a cool chance earlier in the game in the 58th minute, chested the ball after being fed by Adedayo, his shot was deflected as the resulting corner was blocked by Oyowah.
Samuel Anekwe sees his lob effort hit the cross bar after Adedayo had set him up in the 25th minutes.
The newly promoted side looked confident but suffered the first league defeat to the defending champion in Abeokuta.
Remo Stars, who played out a 1-1 draw with Rivers United in Abeokuta on Matchday 1, responded well against Kun khalifat with a comeback win on Matchday2.
