Remo Stars head coach Daniel Ogunmodede has dedicated his landmark achievement of reaching 100 matches in charge of the club to the fans, management, players, and coaching staff, describing them as the pillars behind the team’s success.

The coach hit the 100th game milestone in Abeokuta last Friday after Remo Stars held Rivers United to 1-1 draw in the curtain raiser of the 2025/2026 NPFL season.

Ogunmodede, popularly known as Ijaball, is celebrating the milestone as an NPFL winner by guiding Remo Stars to their first-ever Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title in the 2025 season, an accomplishment that cements his place in the club’s history and annals of Nigeria football.

The 41-year-old tactician has overseen a remarkable transformation of the Ikenne-based side since taking over, turning them into one of the most competitive teams in Nigerian football.

According to official statistics, his first 100 matches produced 53 wins, 20 draws, and 27 losses, with his team scoring 132 goals across all competitions.

Reflecting on the achievement, Ogunmodede expressed gratitude for the collective effort that made the journey possible.

“It is with profound humility and immense pleasure that I mark this significant achievement of reaching 100 NPFL matches with Remo Stars. I sincerely appreciate the management, loyal fans, players, and coaching staff for their commitment to our long-term objectives,” he said.

Under his leadership, Remo Stars have not only claimed domestic silverware but also gained continental recognition, with appearances in the CAF Champions League qualifiers.

His emphasis on youth development, attacking football, and tactical discipline has endeared him to fans while also setting a benchmark for aspiring Nigerian coaches.

Ogunmodede’s journey reflects both resilience and ingenuity, steering Remo Stars from relative obscurity to the pinnacle of Nigerian club football within a few years.

With 100 games already behind him, the coach now aims to consolidate the club’s domestic dominance while pushing for greater success on the continental stage.
