As the first stanza of the 2025 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season wraps up this weekend across various centres, attention will be firmly on Aba, where the People’s Elephant, Enyimba FC, host the Oluyole Warriors, Shooting Stars (3SC) in a South-West/South-East derby on Sunday.

The encounter is scheduled for 4:00 pm at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, and will serve as both teams’ final fixtures of the year.
Enyimba came into the clash seeking a response after suffering a 3–2 defeat to Elkanemi Warriors on Matchday 18. The nine-time NPFL champions currently sit 9th on the league table, a position that falls short of their lofty standards.
Shooting Stars, on the other hand, arrive in Aba with momentum after claiming a 2–1 home victory over Niger Tornadoes. The Ibadan-based side are 6th on the standings and will be keen to consolidate their position going into the second half of the season.
