Katsina United players and officials have received a total cash reward of ₦520,000 following their impressive away performance against Shooting Stars in Ibadan during Matchday 11 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The reward was announced by the Katsina State Commissioner for Sports, Engr. Surajo Yazid Abukur, who splashed ₦320,000 on the team for earning a valuable point on the road.

In addition, the Club Supervising Coordinator, Alhaji Surajo Malumfashi, donated an extra ₦200,000 to the players for their spirited display at the Lekan Salami Stadium, where they held the hosts to a hard-fought draw.
Confirming the development, the club’s Media Director, Nasir Gide, said the players, technical crew, and backroom staff were warmly received on their return to Katsina.
Engr. Abukur commended the team’s resilience and fighting spirit, describing their away point as a sign of growing confidence and teamwork.
He emphasized that the cash bonus was a token of appreciation for their effort and commitment.
The Sports Commissioner also reaffirmed his continued support for Katsina United.
He pledged to provide the necessary logistics to ensure the club’s sustained progress and success.
He further charged the players and management to remain focused and work toward securing a continental ticket for the state.
Katsina United currently sit 10th on the NPFL table with 16 points, just five points behind league leaders Abia Warriors, who have 21 points
