NPFL: “I’m Really Happy”, Remo Stars Captain, Nduka Junior Shares Excitement At Start of The New NPFL Season After Lengthy Preseason

The new season of the Nigeria Professional (now premier) Football League, NPFL is set to kick off on Sunday 8th of January, 2023 much to the excitement of many players, coaches and club staffs.

It’s been over five months since the last game of the previous season was played and the new season is finally set to get underway which excites Remo Stars captain.

“I’m really happy the league is going to start this weekend as the fixtures are out,” Nduka Junior told Sports247.ng

Remo Stars played in the CAF Confederations Cup last season for the first time in their history, losing out to ASFAR FC of Morocco 2-1 on aggregate but the focus now is on the new season says Junior.

“We’ve not really had a competitive game since we played on the continent. For how long do we want to play the preseason? It’s not too good as it’s been over 3 months for us and we’re just starting the league,” he said.

“We’re ready, fully prepared for the season and it’s here. We’ll take every game one step at a time,” Nduka Junior concludes.
