Ikorodu City FC has bolstered its squad with four new signings ahead of their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) 2025/26 season opener against Kwara United this weekend in Ilorin.
Among the arrivals is Liberian international goalkeeper Derrick Julu, who joins the Oga Boys on a two-year deal. The two-time Liberian First Division champion with Watanga FC is already in camp and expected to provide competition and stability between the sticks.

The other three additions include forwards Uchechukwu Onyemaechi and Taiwo Alao, as well as midfielder Rasheed Owolabi. Onyemaechi arrives on a multi-year contract from Ijebu United, Alao joins from Sporting Lagos, while Owolabi signed a two-year deal from Inter Lagos.
Ikorodu City will begin their second season in the NPFL with an away clash against Kwara United on Sunday August 24, 2025, at the Ilorin Township Stadium.
The Lagos-based club impressed in their debut NPFL campaign, finishing fourth and narrowly missing out on continental qualification.
With the latest reinforcements, the Oga Boys will be aiming to push further and secure a top-three finish this season.
