NPFL: GOMBE UNITED SPANK NASARAWA IN A SEVEN GOALS THRILLER

Gombe United returned to winning ways after a disappointing outing in their Match Day ,as they white washed Nasarawa United 5 – 2 at the Pantami stadium.

 

 

The Match Day 8 which kicked off at exactly four o’clock in the evening took just nine minutes for the Savannah Scorpions to registered their first goal through Yusuf Abdulazeez who brilliantly fired a left footed shot to the bottom corner.

 

The celebration didn’t last long as Maurice Chigozie was adjudged to have fouled Jide Williams in the box in the 19th minutes and Anas Yusuf made no mistake as he sent Goalie Adewale to the wrong direction .

 

A minute later Usman Musa converted a spot kick after Jide Williams pushed down Adamu Mohammed inside the box to increased the hosts tally 2 – 1.

 

In the fortieth minutes Yusuf Abdulazeez stroked again as he chest controlled long pass before beating Emmanuel Makama and fired a left footed shot at the bottom corner. Adamu Mohammed hard work paid off in the fifty fifth minutes when he swept in Mustapha Ibrahim’s cross from the left to increased the scoreline to four but in the process got injured.

 

The visitors pulled one back in the 77th minutes Sanusi Ibrahim ,however Usman Musa put the game beyond their reach when he smashed the to p of the roof from the left in the 79th minutes.

Gombe United’s Technical Adviser ,Ladan Bosso who was very excited applauded his lad for playing according to instructions and match officials for fair arbitration

” i will continue to praise my boys , like i said it’s still work in progress ; as you can see among the teams that are struggling are those that just got promotion”.”If we’re going to have officiating like this in away matches we would have got three points”.

We had a game plan against FC Ifeanyi Uba we couldn’t got it right, there is going to be a change of game plan against Heartland Fc.
