NPFL: Enugu Rangers shall be back to glory days – Owumi

The Chief Executive Officer of Enugu Rangers football club, Davidson Owumi has predicted that the team would bounce back stronger and better.

Speaking to Sports247.ng at the Eko Hotel and Suites venue of the 2018 Aiteo/NFF awards, the award-winning football administrator regretted the exit of the ‘Flying Antelopes’ from the CAF Confederation Cup, which he described as ‘unfortunate and painful’.

He attributed the not too impressive outings of the team to congested fixtures that eventually led to fatigue and tiredness of the players. He however, promised that the team would have a much larger and stronger squad that would be able to compete on all fronts and achieve desired results.

” We have learnt our lessons from our unfortunate and painful exit from the Confederation Cup. Now, we’re set to make amends by fortifying our team in readiness to compete favourably and conquer on all fronts.
” I want to assure our fans that we’re determined to return to winning ways and of course, continental football,” Owumi, fondly called Okada Air, in his playing days stated confidently.

Enugu Rangers are currently placed third on the log of the NPFL Group A and also highly favoured to retain the federation cup it won last year after defeating Kano Pillars in a record making finale in Lagos.
