NPFL clubs owing months salaries, claim NPFL players

NPFL players have come out to disclose that they are being owed months salaries by their respective club sides.

The NPFL was suspended indefinitely in March since the outbreak of Covid-19 in Nigeria.

Speaking anonymously, Katsina United (5 months), Sunshine ( 3 months), Heartland FC, FC Ifeanyi Ubah have all been accused of owing.

In this Corona virus-driven period, the players are likely to find it difficult to cope.

However, chairman of Katsina United claims the only player owed is the player who was on beach soccer duties with the national team in the period.

“The only player owed salary will be the player who did not resume with us for three months because he was with the beach soccer team in the period.”
