In Kano, Ahmed Musa continued his strong form, scoring shortly after the break as Kano Pillars secured a 2–1 victory over Plateau United.

Mustapha Jibrin opened the scoring for Pillars on 45 minutes before Musa doubled the lead in the 48th minute.

Wisdom Ndon had earlier given Plateau United a 13th-minute advantage, but Pillars rallied to claim all three points.
