Kwara United captain Suraj Ayeleso has admitted that Bendel Insurance deserved their 2-1 victory over the Harmony Boys in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Matchday 11 encounter in Ilorin.
Speaking after the match, Ayeleso expressed disappointment over the result, particularly after Kwara United had travelled to Kano in search of points but failed to build on their efforts at home, Sports247 gathered.

The goalkeeper gave credit to Bendel Insurance, popularly known as the Benin Arsenals, for their performance, acknowledging that the visitors demonstrated maturity and outplayed his side during the encounter.
“It’s quite unfortunate that we travel to Kano to pick up points and couldn’t work on it. I would give credit to Bendel Insurance, as they really outplayed us. They showed maturity after the game,” Ayeleso said.
The defeat was a setback for Kwara United, who were unable to turn their home advantage into a positive result against a determined Bendel Insurance side.
Despite the disappointment, the Kwara United captain assured supporters that the team would return to training to address the weaknesses exposed during the encounter.
“We will work on the lapses in training,” he added.
Ayeleso’s comments reflect the team’s determination to learn from the defeat and improve ahead of their next league assignment.
