Speaking after the breakthrough win, Abd’Allah was measured in his assessment, stressing that the result, while important, should not lead to premature celebrations.
“It is too early; there is nothing to be excited about,” he said. “Our focus is how to concentrate more on the next match.”
The experienced tactician acknowledged that while the performance showed positive signs, there are clear areas that require immediate improvement. Chief among them is the team’s effectiveness in wide areas.
“The wing play is very important. That’s what needs to be worked on,” Abd’Allah explained, underlining his desire to see greater productivity and precision from the flanks.
With limited preparation time ahead of the next fixture, the coaching staff faces a tight schedule. “We only have three training sessions before the next match,” he noted, highlighting the urgency of fine-tuning tactical details and reinforcing key principles on the training ground.
Abd’Allah’s response reflects a manager determined to build momentum through discipline and consistency rather than emotion. While supporters may celebrate the initial success, the message from the technical bench is clear: progress will be measured over time.
For the Sky Blue Stars, the immediate task is to translate early promise into sustained performance — a challenge their coach appears ready to embrace with focus and realism.
