“Nobody wants to lose, you know, it’s an abridged format and we knew what happened in the game between Akwa United and Bendel Insurance.”

“I must commend my boys, they fought hard, difficult game but we are glad that we took all three points,” he reiterated.

On his team second half performance which dropped after getting two goals in the first half, Finidi George revealed that its nothing to worry about.

“Nothing was wrong, if we had lost, then we would have been asking questions,” he fired back in response.

“Sometimes, you have to be scrappy to win although we all love good football but its not going to be possible all the time.”

“We did well in the first half and I think because of that two goals, my boys stepped back a little bit, he explained.

“The pressure came but we have to work on that and make sure even if we are two goals up or more, we are able to hold on to control the game,” he concluded.
