Ahead of the Nigerian Professional Football League match between Enugu Rangers and Abia Warriors tomorrow at the Awka City stadium, the Anambra State Football Association Chairman Gen Chikelue Iloenyosi has assured football stakeholders that the beautiful edifice is ready to host the first Oriental derby of the abridged league.

General as fondly called, assured Interim Management Company that the FA Secretariat will key in to the vision of the apex league body.

We are ready and set to host the first league match that will be played in the South East. As the Secretariat of the FA of which Enugu Rangers will be using as their home ground, we will provide the best atmosphere for a match of such magnitude. I have made sure that everything is ready from security to protocol to the media department. We are highly optimistic that fans will be there to enjoy one of the standout fixtures of the weekend.

I wish both teams the very best tomorrow. I was there today while on stadium inspection as both teams trained ahead of tomorrow’s match. I gave them words of encouragement and wished them good luck not only for the match tomorrow but the entire season. Hopefully tomorrow both teams will put on a great spectacle for the fans.
