NPFL 2022/2023: Kabiru Dogo Refuses To Blame Match Officials In Wikki Tourists Defeat To Dakkada, Says They Deservedly Won

Kabiru Dogo has refused to blame match officials in wake of his team Wikki Tourists defeat against Dakkada FC acknowledging that the Akwa Ibom based club deservedly won the contest.

Dogo’s Tourists lost away 2-1 to Dakkada as thier winless streak in the NPFL 2022/2023 campaign continues, Sports247.ng writes.

Speaking after the game, Dogo congratulated Danlami’s boys for the victory, “firstly, I want to say congratulations to Dakkada because this is the first time this season since thier establishment that I lost a game to them.”

“As far as the game is concerned, this one has ended anyways but it was a good game from my end despite the fact that we haven’t secured any victory in two games, I know I have a team that can challenge anybody,” he explained.

“Today’s victory for Dakkada, congratulations to them, an offside goal you say? I don’t think so but you are not in a position to judge because in the stand, I’m closer to the game,” Dogo allayed as he dismisses excuse of an offside goal after the defeat.

“Everybody in the world wants better things for themselves, I lost so if you are in my shoes, you won’t call it an offside goal but for me, it’s a good goal and I can’t judge referees.”

“They have thier masters that are judging them so whatever they did, I don’t have anything against that but as human beings we must talk.”

“Last match, I lost a game at home, I give it to the center referee who was a woman. Good officiating from her. I want the best for the country and so anyone that want to represent it must be the best team.”

“I am not among those who wants referees to favor us. If I can beat you, I will and if you can beat me, then go ahead even with higher goal margin.”

“I appreciate what the IMC are doing since the beginning of the league, two games now. It might not be totally perfect but I believe there are rooms for improvement in Nigeria football.”

“If you watch the game, it didn’t show that we have any problems but at the same time, we are still expecting some players that are not here,” he concluded.
