NPFL 2021/22 : ‘I Am Happy To Be Back And Scoring Again’

Rangers International F.C’ creative midfielder, Eso Achibong, who went through the doctor’s knife to correct a career threatening injury he got towards the end of last season and spent over six months on rehabilitation, has said that he was glad to be back in the game he loves with great passion and scoring goals.

Achibong who distinguished himself with Uyo side, Dakkada F.C from where he was snapped up by the ‘Flying Antelopes’ recruitment team last season has been in distinguishing form since his return to action for the coach Abdul Maikaba tutored side and is willing to do more to help the team achieve its set target for the season.

“I really have to thank God for His grace in helping me get back on the field, playing again and scoring goals. Indeed, I am very happy and it’s my hope and belief to contribute positively towards helping the team achieve our set target for the season,” said the mercurial midfielder.

The midfielder who scored a wonder of a goal against Heartland in a NPFL match day 27 fixtures in Awka also appreciated his team mates, coaches and management for their show of love and concern during his recovery and rehabilitation stressing, “I must say that I am overwhelmed with the display of love and concern from my team mates, coaches and management team at the most challenging time of my career. They stood by me which gave me courage to overcome and return to the game I love so much. I owe they a lot and hope to repay their love with more quality display on the pitch.”
