NPFL 2021/22 : 3SC Management Charges Agoye Led Technical Crew To Buckle Up, Apologises To Fans And Appreciates Gov Makinde For His Support

The management of the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, has charged the Edith Agoye led technical crew to brace up and change the fortune of the club in the 2021/22 season of the NPFL.

Arising from an emergency meeting with the coaches on Thursday, aftermath the team’s goalless draw against Gombe United , a day earlier, the management said there was the need for the coaches to find a way to return the team to winning ways.

Apparently unhappy with the outcome of the matchday 21 encounter, played at the Lekan Salami Stadium, which elicited the reactions of the club’s fans, the management tasked coach Agoye and his crew to rise up to the billing, as the club cannot afford to go on relegation again.

The management stated that there was the need for the team to begin to get positive results both at home and away, adding that the current situation, if not timely checked, could spell doom for the club.

While tasking the coaches to do their best at turning the tide, the management expressed its readiness to do everything within its power to support the crew.

The management however apologized to government, the good people of the state and the supporters and fans of the club, over the 0-0 draw recorded against Gombe United, assuring them of better results in subsequent matches, just as it assured that the team will not be relegated, but will end up in a good position at the end of the season.

Meanwhile, the management seized the moment to appreciate the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Abiodun Makinde for his support to the club, even as it thanked the good people of Oyo State, all stakeholders as well as supporters and fans of the club for their worries and concerns.

In attendance at the meeting, held at the Jericho G.R.A office of the club, were the Executive Chairman, Honourable Babatunde Olaniyan, the Acting General Manager cum Team Manager, Dimeji Lawal, the Director of Administration and Supply, Alhaji Rahman Olapade, the Director of Finance and Accounts, Mr Kehinde Ogundiran, Chief coach Edith Olumide Agoye as well as all his assistants.

The Oluyole Warriors’ next game is against Akwa United in Uyo, next week Monday.
