Lucky Emmanuel’s brace from a 4th minute low drive after taking advantage of the defense laxity of the three man central defense of Solomon Kwambe, Tony Agbaji and Endurance Ebedebiri for the opener and an 18th minute header that lacked the power to beat Goalkeeper Emeka Onyia but found itself in the net for the second goal. Shooting Stars Ayo Adejubu nailed the game in the 80th minute following a strike that beat substitute Goalkeeper Aliko Mustapha for the third and final goal of the game.

Solomon Kwambe who couldn’t find his rhythm took an early exit as he was replaced by Azeez Shobowale in the 24th minute to add strength to the attack and adjust to new formation of 4-4-2 as against the starting formation of 3-5-2.

Tony Agbaji who had his first start for Lobi Stars received a yellow card alongside Malomo Taofeek in the 14th minute and a second cautionable offence which led to the red card in 45th minute shortly after Goalkeeper Ogundare Detan had his for unsporting behaviour of delaying time at the same 45th minute.
