For the first time since week 3, Sunshine Stars’ striker Sadeeq Yusuf failed to find the back of the net for his club after they played out a goalless draw with Wikki Tourists in Bauchi.
The striker however still tops the goal scorers chart with 7 goals though now joined by Akwa United’s striker, Ndifreke Effiong on the same tally.
Effiong scored in his team’s 2-1 loss to Nasarawa United on the same match day and sees him joint top with Yusuf.
Both players are still jointly followed by Dakkada’s Aniekan Ekpe and Jigawa Golden Stars’ Samuel Stone with 4 goals.
Micheal Ohanu, Christian Molokwu and Samuel Kalu all netted their second goals of the season as their teams picked up wins on match day 10.
A total of over 170 goals have been scored so far in the 2020/21 NPFL season.
