As the NPFL enters Week 2, the Nigeria Referees Association, NRA, has assured the football family in the country that the match officials shall continue with correct officiating.
This was made known by the NRA president, Otunba Tade Azeez while reviewing the conduct of match officials in last Sunday’s league opener.
Otunba Tade Azeez who said that the Association won’t condone any attempt to ridicule the game asked referees to remain upright without minding teams involved in the matches.
He reminded members on duty about the need to be safety conscious while on transit and always apply required Covid 19 preventive procedures during the matches.

One of the emerging best hands in the domestic scene, Yomi Olabiyi of the Lagos State council, assisted by Anakwe Arinze and Hassan Dauda of Imo and Yobe respectively, will control the northwest derby between Kano Pillars and Katsina Utd in Kaduna where retired FIFA referee and a police chief, Solomon Wokoma is the Assessor.
Another good whistle man from Zamafara council, Abdusalam Abubakar to be monitored on the stands by another retired FIFA referee, Ibrahim Fagge of Kano as Assesor will rely on the flag directions and tactical inputs of Aromona Moruf of Lagos and Anambra’s Obiora Ezenwankwo in the Wikki vs Plateau Utd match while Chairman of Abia State Secondary Education Management Board, SEMB, and former NRA VP2, Chief Eke Onyeforo will be the Assessor for the Dakkada vs Jigawa Golden Stars where Enugu based Okey Ezeogu will be at the Centre.
The big clash in Enugu has a FIFA referee of the Niger State Council Abubakar Abdulahi at the center with Latunde Tosin (Osun) and Yakubu Dazi (Kebbi) on the lines. Chairman of the Ondo Referees Council Comrade Fidelis Fabidun is the Assessor
