NPFL 2020/21: it’s a new beginning – Adetunji

Minutes after confirming his signature for last season’s table toppers, Plateau United, Sunday Adetunji has declared the move as a new beginning in his career.

Taking to his social media handle to announce his new club, the 22-year-old striker posted a warm written letter and a picture signing the contract.

The former Lobi stars striker had been in demand for weeks after leaving Lobi stars with Abia Warriors and Shooting Stars among the clubs wanting his signature.

Adetunji who had a short spell in the Czech republic said the experience will help shape his career.

“It was fun at FK Primbam B in the Czech republic. The experience will definitely shape my future.”

Talking about the reception from Plateau United fans, Abdu Maikaba’s new man said it was unprecedented.

“When I arrived in Jos to sign my contract, the reception I received from the coaching staff and management was unprecedented and it dawns on me that I have taken the best decision of my career”

Adetunji will now prepare for a long season ahead as Plateau United will be looking to win the NPFL title as well as have a good outing on the continent.
