NPFL 2019/20 PREVIEW : LOBI STARS TAKE ON RANGERS INT’L IN RESCHEDULED GAME

Lobi Stars will Wednesday 5th February, 2020 take on Rangers Int’l Football Club of Enugu in a rescheduled match day 6 which has been outstanding for 12 weeks as a result of the CAF Confederation Cup engagements of Rangers.

What looks like an advantage to Lobi Stars could also be an advantage to Rangers in another breadth. The Flying Antelopes that will file out against Lobi Stars today is by every standard a new look team as make up coach Salisu has upgraded their performance.

That not withstanding, the upgraded performance may have little or no effect on the victory ambition of the pride of Benue as they narrowly and painfully lost 0-1 over the weekend to lowly rated and weeping child Jigawa Golden Stars in their adopted home Kano and not for any reason leave any stone on turned for victory today.

The game will be a determinant for Lobi Stars to reclaim their top place which has been held by Plateau United for 3 days now. Nothing short of the maximum 3 points is expected as the coach Gbenga Ogunbote tutored boys will come out smoking in a redemptive spirit.

Rangers Int’l are currently occupying 18th position on the log with 13 points from 12 games and 6 outstanding. Rangers have remained unbeaten in their last six games both in the NPFL and CAF Confederation Cup, which is a good show of strength.

Lobi Stars are temporarily holding the second place and with 32 points from 17 games, 1 point behind Plateau United and 1 game to even up, and will hopefully be going back to their traditional leadership position at the end of today all things been equal.

The board and management of Lobi Stars in their entirety call on all stake holders and Benue people to maintain a prayerful position for Lobi Stars and come out enmass to cheer the Glory to Glory boys to victory as they continue to seek the league title to be in the continent next season.

MFM will also take on Enyimba Int’l in another rescheduled game of same match day 6 in a similar circumstance.
