NPFL 2019/20: IBRAHIM SHOOTS PLATEAU TO THE TOP WITH 8TH GOAL

Ibrahim Mustapha scored the match winner for Plateau United to return to the summit of the NPFL table as they defeated title challengers, Rivers United by a lone goal.

The 3rd minute strike was Ibrahim’s eighth of the season as he goes joint top of the scorer’s chart.

Joint top goal scorer, Taisu Lawal of Katsina United was not in action as the team’s match against Enugu Rangers was postponed while Israel Abia has not been in action for some weeks.

Kano Pillars’ Auwalu Ali MAlam continued his goal scoring form as he added another goal to his brace from last week as Pillars beat Adamawa United by two goals to nothing.

Jackson Daniel and Femi Ajayi both added to their goal tallies as well as wikki Tourist and Dakkada FC played a 1-1 draw over the weekend. Daniel now has 4 goals for the season while Ajayi has bagged 5 goals in the campaign.

Abiodun Thompson scored for Heartland in the 1-0 win over sunshine while Chinedu Nwanze scored the only goal as Kwara United beat MFM FC by a lone goal.
