Some Nigerians still believe Nigeria top flight teams are still not been professional in their dealings, this comes from how some teams in the Nigeria Professional football league still battling with the old style of injecting indigenous players in the team courtesy of some grassroots scouting to empower the best for a brighter future.

Management of Katsina United Football Club has approved the inclusion of (12) twelve indigenous players in the club’s senior team.

The Club Chairman/Supervising Coordinator Alh Surajo Umar Dalibi gave the approval in a statement issued to the Club Media Directorate.

The shortlisted players are as follows:

– Musa Sulaiman
– Nura Dan Megi
– Abubakar Mohamed (Tatu)
– Kabir Muhammed Kabir
– Ahmed Nasir
– Usman Abdullahi
– Abubakar Hassan
– Yusuf Ibrahim Hassan Suleiman
– Umar Yusuf
– Abubakar Maiwada
– Yusuf Abdulmumini
– Muhammad Sulaiman.

Several Northern teams have strong believe in equipping young players into the team yearly to foster community engagement and provide pathways to professional careers for the players to excel.
