”No Matter Your Age’ – Nnadozie Reacts After Three Consecutive CAF Best Awards

Super Falcons star Chiamaka Nnadozie has expressed her delight after being crowned CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year for the third consecutive time at the awards ceremony held on Wednesday in Rabat, Morocco.

Nnadozie, who has enjoyed an outstanding year for club and country—including Nigeria’s impressive run at the Women’s AFCON—described the honour as a reward for her dedication and consistency.

“This really means a lot to me. Winning it three times in a row is not easy. It’s a symbol of dedication, consistency, and hard work,” she said.

The Brighton FC shot-stopper who is the only Nigerian to pick an award in the 2025 CAF Awards also extended appreciation to her teammates for their role in her continued success.

“Of course, thanks to my teammates who made this possible,” she added.

Nnadozie used the moment to encourage young aspiring female footballers, urging them to remain focused and disciplined regardless of their age or stage of development.

“My advice to young girls is that no time is too late. Whatever you are doing, it doesn’t matter the age—keep working hard, keep doing the right thing.”

“Always learn from your seniors and listen to your coaches. Stay humble, pray hard, and everything will be fine,” she said.

The 23-year-old continues to solidify her place as one of Africa’s greatest-ever goalkeepers with yet another historic achievement.
