Following the disappointing result, Warri Wolves player Alex Cletus expressed his thoughts in a post-match interview with Sports247.

Cletus acknowledged the team’s efforts, stating, “This is a hard luck game because we played very well. It is just that the goals did not come for us, so it was a hard game for us.”

Looking ahead to the second half of the season, Cletus remained optimistic, promising that Warri Wolves would come back stronger.

He asserted, “The second half of the season will be different, we will be stronger and better. The league should be ready for us.”

Regarding the officiating in the league, Cletus expressed dissatisfaction, particularly with regard to penalty decisions.

He lamented, “We had three penalties but they denied us all of them. At least the referee should have helped and given us one penalty to help balance the game.”

Despite the setback, Cletus maintained a positive outlook on the team’s progress. He commented, “I think we are getting better and better, I think we just need time to blend together.”

The defeat serves as motivation for Warri Wolves to regroup and refocus for the remainder of the season, to climb up the league table and achieve better results in upcoming matches.
