NNL24: Oladunjoye Shola, Others Lead Madiba FC to Victory Over Coal City

In the Southern Conference Group A of the Nigeria National League (NNL), Match Day 19 encounter between Madiba FC and Coal City FC took place at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan Stadium, Lagos State, ending in a 3-1 victory for Madiba FC.

The first half was tense, with both teams anticipating goals. Edel Chidera scored for Coal City FC in the 20th minute, but Oladunjoye Shola responded for Madiba FC, leveling the game at the 31st minute. The half ended with a 1-1 draw.

In the second half, both teams continued to aim for goals, but tight defense prevailed. Madiba FC made substitutions, introducing Aliu Solomon, Lucky Adams, Mohammed Isah, Rabiu Nurudeen and Fadeyi Sunday to strengthen the frontline.

Dada Oladimeji broke through Coal City FC’s defense, extending Madiba FC’s lead at the 73rd minute, maintaining his position as the league’s top scorer with 11 goals in 19 matches. Mohammed Isah added another goal for Madiba FC at the 83rd minute.

With this victory, Madiba FC solidified the position atop the Southern Conference Group A with 42 points.

Next, Solomon Bala will lead the Oshodi Boys in an away encounter with Abia Comets FC on Saturday, 27th April 2024, in Abia State.
