NNL: Osun United Set For A Bragging Right Over Visiting Dynamite Force

By Tajudeen Amodu, Media Officer Osun United

Osun United will on Saturday, May 29, 2021 host Dynamite Force at the Osogbo Township Stadium in the week 16 encounter of the Group B1 of the ongoing Nigeria National League (NNL).

The Omoluabi Giants have found back their “mojo” since the beginning of the second stanza and have lost once in the previous 5 matches. A victory over Dynamite Force, who narrowly won the first leg by a lone goal scored via a spot-kick may take United to the fourth position on the log of group B1, where 3SC are at the apex.

In the previous meeting between Osun United and Dynamite Force, the ‘Omoluabi Giants’ have a slight edge over ‘Bernard Boys’.

In 2018 NNL, Osun United defeated Dynamite Force by a lone goal in Osogbo and the return leg ended 1-1 in Benin. Also in 2019, ‘Bernard Boys’ suffered a lone goal defeat to Osun United in the uncompleted season. The only victory of Dynamite over Osun United was in March 2021 in Iyahmo.

Currently on the log, Osun United sits 8th with 19 points while Dynamite Force, whose Chairman, Bernard Joman, and two players, Oseni Muideen and Patrick Cyril were suspended by NNL due to assault on match officials in their last match are occupying the 4th position with 22 points.

The match kicks off at 4 pm at the Osogbo Township Stadium while fans and supporters can follow the live update on the club’s social media accounts such as @osununited on Twitter or Osun United FC on Facebook.
