The team’s manager, Mohammed Baba Ganaru, received a 3-match suspension for assaulting match officials.

Sunshine Stars received a warning for unsportsmanlike conduct exhibited by their players in the Southwestern derby over the weekend.

Remo Stars SC, on the other hand, were fined N1,000,000 for failing to provide adequate security during their Southwestern derby game.

The most significant fine was imposed on Kano Pillars FC, totalling a whopping N10 million.

This severe penalty follows disruptive behaviour from fans after their 2-1 victory over the weekend.

Kano Pillars FC will pay N1 million for repeated offences of throwing objects onto the pitch and another N1 million for misconduct capable of bringing the game into disrepute.

Additionally, a compensation fine of N250,000 will be paid to assistant referee Sodiq Adejumo for injuries sustained.

Kano Pillars FC will also face the consequence of playing their next home match(es) at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano before the mid-season break without the presence of fans.

All the sanctioned teams have a 48-hour window to appeal their respective penalties.

This strong response from the league organizers underscores their commitment to upholding integrity and fair play in Nigerian football, ensuring that clubs adhere to established codes of conduct.
