NNL MD15 Action: FC One Rocket Relish ‘Stepping Stone’ Draw Against Tradesafe

FC One Rocket of Uyo are relishing what one of their players, Inusa Aminu, described as a ‘stepping stone’ that they achieved in their latest Nigerian National League (NNL) fixture.

This follows a 1-1 draw that the Uyo side gained while playing away to Tradesafe FC of Lagos at Agege.

Inusa said they were glad with the result against a side that was very determined to ease their relegation woes with the home fixture.

As much as the boys of Coach Ademola Adeshina tried, Tradesafe could not fulfil the desire of their club president, Ahmed Jamiu Olayinka, for them to get off bottom spot on the table.

Tradesafe entered the game standing 11th on the log, while One Rocket were fifth and, though Aminu reckoned that his side should have won the match, he took consolation from the away draw.

“It was a tough one,” he admitted, “but we did well. We came here with the intention to win. Obviously, we didn’t do that.

“However, the one point we got, I think it’s a stepping stone.

“We didn’t convert our chances in the first half. Had it been we did that, it would have been a different story.”
