NNL: Kogi United optimistic of positive result in Jalingo

Kogi United are set to continue their bright start to the new Nigeria National League (NNL) season with a clash against FC Taraba on Saturday.

 

The Group A2 encounter billed for Jolly Nyame Stadium, Jalingo is the first fixture for FC Taraba ho were drawn bye on the opening day.

United will strive towards replicating last season’s result and performance against the hosts when they claimed the match points with 3-1 victory.

Midfielder Eghe Osas has expressed optimism that his side are more focused and determined to repeat last season’s feat in Jalingo.

Osas who scored two goals in United’s 5-0 thumping of FC Yarmalight in Matchday One said he’s expecting a tough game on Saturday but believes the Confluence State Boys have what it takes to get a decent result.

“We are fully ready for Taraba, we want to continue where we stopped in game one and are determined to get total points here.

“It may not be an easy game, you know this is their first match of the season and they will want to start well but we also want to keep the momentum, we are more determined and I believe experience we’ve got will help us,” he said.
