NNL 2020/21: “We Planned For A Draw In Lagos,”- Julius Adeyanju, Ekiti United Player

Matchday five in the Nigeria National League saw Ekiti United make the trip to Lagos to face the new Lagos-based side, Vandrezzer FC. The team came to get a draw but were condemned to a 1-0 loss explains Ekiti United star player, Julius Adeyanju.

“It was a fine game from us, we planned for a draw here but it didn’t end that way for us,” Julius told Sports247’s reporter.

He went on to suggest that his side are still in the race and one of the teams seeking a ticket to the Nigerian Professional Football League.

“Yes (we’re one of the teams hoping to gain promotion to the NPFL next season), we’re just coming up but gradually we will get there,” he said.

Speaking on his message to the fans of the club, Julius said “we just want them to know that our next game we’ll try our possible best to get at least a draw.”
