Nnadozie, Ajibade Receive Stern Instructions For Super Falcons’ Second Friendly Versus Cameroon

Super Falcons’ goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie and the team’s captain, Rasheedat Ajibade have both received stern instructions to ensure they lead a revival for Nigeria against Cameroon on Tuesday.

Sports247 gathered that, heading into the second international friendly between both sides within a space of three days, Nnadozie will have to keep a clean sheet and Ajibade must lead Nigeria’s hunt for goals.

This is sequel to the urgent need for a return to winning ways by the ten-time African champions, who on Saturday lost the first game between both sides and Falcons’ coach, Justin Madugu says they cannot afford another defeat.

Consequently, heading into Tuesday’s clash at Yaounde’s Military Stadium, Madugu is eager to prevent a repeat of the setback suffered by his side in second half added time of the first game at the same venue on Saturday.

Madugu’s first step to avoid defeat on Tuesday is to recall Nnadozie to his starting 11 in place of Comfort Erhabor, whose efforts during her first game for Nigeria were commendable but her debut was spoilt by the lone goal she conceded.

A preview by the communication department of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) stated in part, “Madugu is sure to change tactics and may adjust playing personnel as the Falcons will surely go for a win in this one.

“Africa’s best for the past two years, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie may come into the fray, with Alozie likely to start, alongside Oluwatosin Demehin, Osinachi Ohale and Glory Ogbonna in defence.

“Onyenezide, Christopher, Ucheibe, Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene and Jennifer Echegini are available in midfield (while) Rasheedat Ajibade, Gift Monday, Rinsola Babajide, Chinwendu Ihezuo and Ijamilusi are options in the frontline.”

Sports247 gathered further that Madugu is also charging up his players psychologically, with a reminder that the biggest memory Nigeria has of playing in Yaoundé was a 1-0 win in the 2016 WAFCON final against the hosts.
